BJP Accuses Chhattisgarh Congress Government of Corruption and Nepotism in 104-Page Chargesheet

BJP,  released a 104-page chargesheet against the Congress government in Chhattisgarh, making allegations of widespread corruption, nepotism, and scandals under the leadership of CM Bhupesh Baghel. BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra claimed that the Congress government had failed to fulfill a total of 316 promises made by the party and its former president, Rahul Gandhi, on various occasions, including during the last assembly polls.

Patra highlighted issues of law and order, alleging that the state had ignored over 5,900 rape cases, which he described as the "real face of the Congress in Chhattisgarh."

Among the allegations, Patra also pointed to a "liquor scam" worth over Rs 2,000 crore and a Rs 600-crore scam in the Public Distribution System (PDS) scheme under the Congress rule in Chhattisgarh. He further claimed a Rs 5,000 crore scam in the Centre-sponsored free grains scheme during the COVID-19 pandemic, accusing the Bhupesh Baghel government of profiting from the crisis.

Patra also alleged corruption and nepotism in government job appointments, suggesting that several Congress leaders' relatives secured government positions in Chhattisgarh.
